When did the impact of COVID-19 first occur to you? How did your reaction to COVID-19 change between then and the first case in your town?

March of 2020 when my work as a foreign language tutor was cut when we were sent off. At that time I had no idea what we were dealing with.

How is your life different now than it was before the pandemic?

Before the pandemic oh, I went out of the house at least three times a week. Now I go on errands maybe twice a week maybe not even and to be honest I miss going out and meeting with my friends restaurants where we could enjoy each other's company.

How are you feeling? What are you doing to relieve stress?

I'm doing okay at a rate of 85 out of 100. I am a creative writer so I do writing mostly poetry these days, though I did do a research paper that was not assigned by a professor on the topic of how to wash dishes sanitarily without using dish soap. I had fun with that.

What have you noticed has changed in your community since the outbreak? What has surprised you?

Oddly enough, my neighbors and people in my neighborhood seemed a bit more friendly done before the pandemic which I guess is a surprise to me.

How are you using social media, the Internet, or digital platforms during the pandemic?

I use social media the same as I always did before the pandemic so that has not changed much.

Did you have to postpone any major life events? (e.g. Graduation, wedding, major birthday) What did you do instead?

I've been lucky in that I have no plans that would have to have been postponed.

What positive things did you contribute to or notice take place?

I'm always trying to see things in a positive light as much as possible.

Did you or someone you know contract COVID-19? What was it like?

I've had several friends who contracted covid one of which passed away. In a way, some of my friends and I are still dealing with this.

If you lost someone during the pandemic, how did you celebrate their lives?

Most of us posted to our SNS with tributes for this person.

How do you think this pandemic will change how we behave going forward? What will the “new normal” look like?

This is very hard to answer as I'm really not into being normal because I'd rather be unique. Just like most of my friends and we are okay with that.
