When did the impact of COVID-19 first occur to you? How did your reaction to COVID-19 change between then and the first case in your town?
Last summer when my camp got cancelled and it changed me because I could not see my friends who didnt live in florida.
How is your life different now than it was before the pandemic?
Everyday I have different lifestyles then I used to.
How are you feeling? What are you doing to relieve stress?
I watch tv to relieve stress and school is really stressful.
What have you noticed has changed in your community since the outbreak? What has surprised you?
Everyone is becoming scared and worried about their social choices.
Are you a business owner who has had to close? If you are still open, how have you had to adjust how your business operates?
Not a buisness owner.
Are you an essential employee? What do you do? What precautions are being taken at your workplace? What precautions are implementing at home?
Not an essential employee.
Are you an employee who has been laid off or furloughed? Were you able to get unemployment? Were you able to retain your health insurance?
Not an employee.
Are you working from home? What adjustments or challenges are you experiencing?
Not working.
Do you have children at home? How’s it going?
No children.
If you’re a student, was school canceled? Were you able to complete your studies online? Do you think you’ll be back on campus in the fall?
School was set back and online for a while and ti was very stressful.
Did you have to postpone any major life events? (e.g. Graduation, wedding, major birthday) What did you do instead?
Yes, seeing my family in new York.
Do you have animals? Did you adopt a pet? How have they impacted your day?
Three dogs and they make me happy and keep me company when I am alone.
What positive things did you contribute to or notice take place?
Got closer and made more bonds with my family because of all the time I spent with them.
Did you or someone you know contract COVID-19? What was it like?
Yes I know someone and I know in their household it was very stressful and upsetting for them.
If you lost someone during the pandemic, how did you celebrate their lives?
I did not loose anyone during the pandemic, Thankfully.
What do you wish you knew before the pandemic began?
I wish I knew how fast it would spread and impact my life.
What would you want future generations to know about the 2020 pandemic? How would you recommend they prepare for it?
How it really changed our lives and perspectives on the world and how we see things now.
How do you think this pandemic will change how we behave going forward? What will the “new normal” look like?
I think the new normal will stay for a while and it will be wearing masks from a distance for a while. I believe they will open the vaccine to younger people and try to get heard immunity.
