When did the impact of COVID-19 first occur to you? How did your reaction to COVID-19 change between then and the first case in your town?

The impact of COVID-19 first occurred to me in early March of 2020 during of grade field trip to D.C when some students decided to wear masks on the plane and throughout our trip. From that moment to now, I realized how much COVID has changed. Looking back to last year, we were all confused on way they were wearing masks and what COVID was. Now I've realized that COVID-19 is a serious disease that has changed the life of many in my home town.

What would you want future generations to know about the 2020 pandemic? How would you recommend they prepare for it?

I want future generations to know that the 2020 pandemic was a very serious thing that happened to the world that caused an everlasting change. I recommend that they understand that lots of things happened during the past year before trying to learn about it.

How do you think this pandemic will change how we behave going forward? What will the “new normal” look like?

After the pandemic life, I think life will slowly come back to "normal". Some people might never want to do "common" things ever again such as attend large gatherings, give hugs, not wear a mask, etc.
